What's New?
WE NEED YOU! 3 Service Opportunities:
Here are some great ways you can do service for OA and practice our 12th step:
1. Attend meetings that are new or in need of support, such as the Friday 2pm Spanish-speaking meeting in Highland Park, the Wednesday 8pm meeting in La Crescenta, and the Thursday 11am meeting in Pasadena
(see Meeting Directory for more info)
2. Announce OA special events in meetings, distribute flyers, offer to give rides, and attend yourself. Special events give us an opportunity for fellowship, boost our personal recovery, and raise funds to help other compulsive overeaters
3. Attend intergroup meetings (it's only once a month) and pitch in to help however you can!

THE NEW BOOKMARKS ARE HERE! Foothill Intergroup has gotten its bookmarks that provide information on our fall/winter events, including the Halloween speaker dance and our 8th annual holiday workshop December 3rd. Take a few and distribute them in meetings!
GREAT TURNOUT AT OUR AUGUST and SEPTEMBER INTERGROUP MEETINGS. Great news--We had one of our biggest delegate turnouts ever at our August meeting and our September meeting was also well-attended! The more representation we have, the more we can do to help compulsive overeaters and keep our program strong in our area. We hope to keep it up at our next intergroup meeting October 25--so make sure your meetings sends a delegate or two or three!
We have a new Spanish-speaking meeting--a wonderful step to reach out to Spanish-speaking compulsive overeaters. If you speak Spanish, please attend if you can. The meeting is on Fridays at 2:00pm at the Northeast Wellness Center/Community Center, 5564 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90042. For flyer, click here.
